front entrance

foyer

Lots of original leaded and beveled glass. As you can see, the floors still need to be refinished and there is some work needed on the base of the staircase. There is also some carpet underpad residue on the floors which was difficult to remove, particularly in high traffic areas.

I am seriously considering putting a large tiled shower enclosure in this 11'x12.5' room and also using it for bathroom storage and as a dressing room. It is adjacent to the bathroom and you can see the plumbing exposed behind the existing bathroom wall. The other photo was taken from the plumbing area facing the rear of the house. Note the door leading to the roof of the kitchen. Possible deck? Update: shower is in progress.

loft

This is the pine plank floor that I recently exposed in the loft after removing carpet, over tile, over plywood. There was also wood panelling glued to the drywall.

exterior in winter

The maple tree on the front lawn really detracts from the house's curb appeal in the summer. Then again it also hides the makeshift porch enclosure that was put together at some point using storm windows from the master bedroom, and what appears to be an old back porch door from another house. Must open that porch up to its original condition so the leaded glass door is visible from the street.
